5 Facts About the Page of Swords

As part of my new podcast season, TAROT 2021, I’ve been pulling a card for each week of the new year. 

The tarot is a way of understanding what is happening in our physical and metaphysical world, but it is important to remember that the foundation of the tarot deck is always LOVE.  

This week’s card is the Page of Swords. Here are some basics:

1. The Page in the Tarot is depicted as young, curious, and enthusiastic. Their energy is external and directed into the world. 
2. The imagery in the card shows the Page holding a sword in their right hand pointed to the sky. The page leans in to the sword but looks away as they are paying attention to all the information around them.  
3. There is a cloud above their head representing thought. It is the one cloud in a blue sky. The sky represents consciousness. This identifies the difference between our consciousness, awareness, and our thoughts. 
4. The Page stands on fertile ground, indicating that what we have planted is growing into the ideas that we will share. This brings positive change and forward movement, which is why this card can represent passion and enthusiasm, new ideas, and plans for the future.  
5. This card also represents how you communicate in your relationships.  

You may be new to Tarot—It is really important to be doing your own spiritual, mental, emotional and physical development in order to be clear enough to pull cards that give you good intuitive guidance. This is the same with all intuitive tools.
