This week we will focus on the seventh chakra as part of our continuation in the Chakra Exploration Series on the Snow Wellness podcast, which you can stream for free here

The seventh chakra, also known as the crown chakra, deals with gratitude and generosity. If your crown chakra is aligned and in balance, you should feel especially grateful, in tune with the world. The crown chakra is situated on the top of the head, in the soft spot we all are born with, called a fontanel. If your crown chakra is out of alignment, you may experience envy or jealousy. The seventh chakra, or the Astral body, as it is sometimes called, is the link between us and our ancestors. Here are five key takeaways regarding the crown chakra:

  1. The color of this chakra is white—as in white light, the metal is gold, and the mineral is fluorite—all signifying the clarity that this chakra can elicit if in balance.
  2. The planet related to this chakra is Saturn, and the stone is diamond.
  3. The yoga pose most helpful for this chakra is the tadasana, or standing pose, which helps relieve low blood pressure, insomnia, and—aptly—headaches.
  4. The Hindu deity related to this chakra is Shiva, the third god in the Hindu triumvirate, one of the three deities tasked with the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world.
  5. The entity related to this chakra is Milru, a common ancestor of the people, native to a Polynesian continent called Mu. If you’d like more information on who exactly Milru was, I recommend you listen to this week’s podcast.

We’ve also included a meditation to help tap into this chakra on this week’s podcast. Check it out for more and if you’d like to continue your exploration of this chakra with guidance, reach out to me for a session.
